average 可作名词，意为“平均；一般水平”，on average意为“按平均值”。也可作形容词，意为“一般的；平均的”。

(3)stupid是形容词，意为“愚蠢的；傻的”。

[注意] stupid用作表语时，如果主语是动词不定式，则通常用形式主语it代替，该动词不定式的逻辑主语由介词of引出。

(4) mistake是名词，意为“错误”。常用短语：make mistakes/a mistake in…（在……方面）犯错误; by mistake错误地。

2. I want to be like her, but I know that’s impossible.

impossible是形容词，意为“不可能的”。它是possible的否定形式，其副词形式为impossibly。
