I took part in the 400-meter race last year. I fell down and hurt my leg. “Persistence makes victory.” With Tom's encouragement, I rose from the ground and sped up. I won the third prize and felt excited.
My junior high school life has left many soft and sweet memories in my heart. My unforgettable event in junior high is the school sports meeting.
Standing on the starting line, I felt like there was a heavy weight on my shoulders. When the shot rang out, I ran as fast as I could. Suddenly, a boy knocked into me and I fell down. I sensed a strong pain and my mind couldn’t stop thinking about losing the game. “Come on! You can do it.” My best friend Peter shouted to me. I could also hear the voices of my classmates in the crowd cheering me up. I rose from the ground and sped up to the final line. Winning the third prize, I embraced Peter and my classmates in excitement.
This experience impressed me because not only did I challenge myself bravely and learned the importance of persistence and self-encouragement but also I felt the warmth from friends.
