James from the U.S.: Over the last several years, great changes have taken place in their lives. The life of my friend Wang Qi is a good example. When I first came to China, his family lived in a small house in a village. They never had spare money for snacks, clothing, or travel. But now they live in a big, comfortable apartment(公寓) near the city centre. They often go out to eat on weekends. They sometimes go shopping for fashionable clothes and like to travel during holidays.
Linda from Australia: I used to think “Made in China” was the bad quality, but now these three words represent(代表) the products with low prices and good quality. Since the popularity(流行) of Taobao, many foreigners feel like finding a door to another world, because the products they bought surprised them.
