1.—How do you study for a test?你是怎样准备考试的?
—I study by asking the teacher for help.我通过向老师寻求

(1)how 是疑问副词,意为“怎样”,通常对程度和方式进
行提问。如:
—How do you usually go to school
你通常是怎样去上学的?
—By bus.乘公共汽车。
(2)ask sb.for help 是固定搭配,意为“向某人求助”。如:
The little girl asked the policeman for help.
小女孩向警察求助。
由 how 构成的短语有:
(1)how often 指“每隔多久”,主要用来对频度副词或时间
状语(如 once a week, three times a month 等)提问。如:
—How often do you visit your uncle
你多长时间去看你叔叔一次?
—Once a week.一周一次。
(2)how long 表示“多长时间”,主要用来对一段时间(如
three days, four weeks 等)提问。如:
—How long did he stay here 他在这儿待了多久?
—About two weeks.大约两个星期。
(3)how soon 指“再过多久”,主要用来对表示将来的一段
时间(如 in an hour, in two weeks 等)提问,经常与 will 连用。如:
—How soon will he be back 他要多久才回来?

(4)How far 意为“多远”,主要用来对距离、路程提问。如:
—How far is it from here to the bus station

(2)read aloud 意为“大声读,朗读”,其中 aloud 为副词,

aloud, loud 与 loudly
(1)aloud 只用作副词,不用作形容词,可表示两层意思:
①强调“出声”,通常与 read, speak, think 等动词连用。如:
read aloud 朗读
think aloud 自言自语地说
②表示“大声地”时,通常与 cry, laugh, shout, call 等动词
连用。如:
She called aloud for help.她高声呼救。
(2)loud 既可用作形容词,也可用作副词。用作副词时,与
loudly 同义,一般只与动词 speak, talk, laugh, sing 等连用,且必
须放在这些动词之后。如:
He has a loud voice.他嗓门大。
I can't hear you; please speak louder.
我听不见,请说大声些。
(3)loudly 只用作副词(与用作副词的 loud 同义)。如:
Don't talk so loudly/loud.别那么大声讲话。
注意:①loudly 可与表示声响的动词连用,且可以放在这些
动词之前或之后。
②在用于比较级或最高级时,通常用 louder/loudest,而不
用 loudly 的比较级或最高级。
