设计说明
把学过的单词和含有比较级的句型编成朗朗上口的歌谣,来轻松复习巩固所学的知识,调动学生的学习积极性,为下一步的对话表演(2d)做好准备。通过Grammar Focus的学习,巩固本课时语法——比较级的用法,从而让学生熟练地使用比较级来谈论、比较人物特征。
教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)掌握单词:competition,fantastic,which,clearly,win,though。
(2)掌握句型:—Are you as friendly as your sister
—No,I’m not. I’m friendlier.
—Who is smarter,your mother or your father
—I think my mother is smarter than my father. 。
2. 能力目标:能熟练地用形容词的比较级表述个人特征,对人物进行比较。
3. 情感目标:学会正确地了解他人,尊重人与人之间的差异。

1. 重点:掌握比较级的用法,掌握含有比较级的句型。
2. 难点:掌握含有比较级的句型,并能用所学句型进行比较。

Step 1 Warming up & Leading in

2. Show pictures to the students.

which 询问某一具体范围内的“哪一个”;what意为“什么”,没有特定的范围供选择。

2. although 与 though的用法区别
(1)用作连词
表示“虽然”,两者同义,可换用,只是 although 比 though 更为正式。
Although/Though it was raining,we went there.
虽然下着雨,但我们还是去了那儿。
Although/Though we are poor,we are happy.
我们虽然穷,但很快乐。
(2)用作副词
although不能用作副词,而 though 可以用作副词,且一般放在句末(不放在句首),意为“可是,不过”。
It’s hard work. I enjoy it,though.
工作很辛苦,可是我乐意干。
He looks healthy,though. 不过他看起来很健康。
Step 5 Grammar Focus
1. Read and translate the sentences in Grammar Focus.
2. Review comparative forms of adjectives and adverbs.
3. Conclusion.
两者进行比较,表示“一方比另一方更……”的句型:
(1)A+be+形容词比较级+than+B.
(2)A+实义动词+副词比较级+than+B.
两者进行比较,表示“一方与另一方一样……”的句型:
(1)A+be+as+形容词原形+as+B.
(2)A+实义动词+as+副词原级+as+B.
Step 6 Practice
1. Work on 3a. Use the words to write questions and answers. Ask one or three students to write the answers on the blackboard.
Answers will vary.
2. Work on 3b. Think of yourself two years ago. Write about how you are different now. Ask several students to show how they are different. (Show their photos,if possible. )

3. Work on 3c.
(1)Students complete the chart individually. Then ask and answer in pairs.
