设计说明
首先利用图片教授新单词,直观性强,同时也创设了语言学习环境,有利于学生去理解和运用。在阅读过程中,首先让学生带着问题去读,这样会使目标更明确,有利于提高学生快速找出所需信息的能力。然后,讨论并核对答案,培养学生归纳总结的能力。按课文顺序播放录音,让学生听并有意识地跟读,在培养学生听的能力的同时提高他们读的能力。设计练习题,旨在巩固课文知识点与重要句子结构,为进一步阅读和写作打下坚实的基础。
教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)掌握单词和短语:serious,mirror,kid,necessary,grade,should,saying,reach,hand,touch,heart,fact,break,arm,share,loud,similar,as long as,be different from,bring out,the same as,in fact,be similar to。

Step 1 Warming up & Leading in
Check the homework.
1. Ask two or three students to read their reports. Correct the mistakes in their work.
2. Work on 2a. Ask one student to write the comparative forms of the adjectives on the blackboard. And then ask one or two students to read the comparative forms of the adjectives they wrote.
Answers:more popular,more hard-working,more outgoing,funnier,more serious,smarter,quieter,friendlier,shyer.
3. Use these comparative forms to write five sentences about their friends.
4. Students work in groups. Check each other’s answers.
5. Let some students read their sentences.

Discuss the following language points and fill in the blanks.
1. serious变比较级要在其前加more,与serious变化规律一样的形容词,我们学过的还有outgoing。
Tom’s friend is more serious than him.

2. as long as 意为“只要”,在句中引导条件状语从句,可以用so long as 代替。
As long as you work hard,you will get good grades.
你只要努力学习,就会取得好成绩。
3. be different from 意为“与……不同”,其反义短语为the same as。
This car is different from that one.
这辆小汽车不同于那一辆。
4. should是情态动词,意为“应该;应当”,没有人称和数的变化,其后接动词原形。其否定形式为should not,缩写为shouldn’t。
5. reach意为“到达,抵达”时,其同义短语是get to;arrive at/in。
