二、Procedures
Stept1.Warming up
⑴.Greetings:
Hello, everyone, I am very glad to see you again. It’s a new day and It’s a new start.
⑵Now, let’s listen a conversation and answer two questions
Q:1.What does the girl want to do?
Q:2.Where is the post office?
Ss. listen and answer.
⑶We had learned about direction in unit2 Grade7,who can tell us how to ask way simply? sentences, direction words?....
Ss. Say sentences, direction words about asking way.
⑷OK, You are very good, today we’ll learn about direction and more information. look at the title“ Unit 11 could you please tell me where the restrooms are?”,this is the target language.
Ss. read the title and learn new words
Stept2. Grammar Focus
look at the three sentences in P87,notice the word“where”and “how”
Do you know where I can buy some shampoo?
Could you tell me how to get to the post office?
Could you please tell me where I can get a dictionary?
Ss. read them and make pair word :use the word“where”and “how”make similar sentences.
T. Encourage the students to make more sentences, check.
Stept3.1a.Looking and matching
⑴Ss. Look at the picture in 1a,get to know the things and find out the 5 places .learn new words
⑵Ss. Matching and reading, look at the PPT, use the sentence “we can+ things in+ place”, read the sentences loudly one by one.
T. Encourage more students to read out sentences, check.
Stept4.1c.Pair work:
Ss. using the information in 1a to make conversations
T. Encourage more students to make conversations, check.
Stept5.listen and completing , conclusion.
⑴ T. Play the tape of 1b, two times every conversation.
Ss. listen and complete the dialogue in P86,write down their words
T. encourage them. check answers
⑵ Ss. Turn to P134,read the tape script . while reading, underline the sentences used to ask for information politely
⑶ Ss. Imitate the conversation ,talk as they do

⑷T. Make a Conclusion:
①Ask the way and Give direction
