He started screaming for help. But help never came.
4 He was scared of heights and had physical issues， but he couldn’t t let his family burn up. Luckily， he remembered the ladder on the second floor and got it on the roof. After placing it against the house， he climbed back up to the roof to save his family members. He wrapped （用……缠绕） his arms around his daughter. Then he climbed down the ladder. Once on the ground， Lewis had his little girl sit on it， and he went back up to the roof to save his wife.
5 “I tried to get my dog， but he just disappeared in the black smoke. I never saw him alive again. I’m not a hero. I’m just an ordinary person who would help anybody. This happened to be the time when I helped my own family. I live to protect my family. Just like Rock—he lived to protect us，” Lewis said.
