Step 1:Warming-up 1.Show some pictures of the radio programmes. 2.Enjoy and talk something about the pictures. 3.Show some pictures to introduce the new words. 4.Learn the new words. 5.Read the words after the teacher. Step 2:Listening 1.Have the students read the words in Activity 1. 2.Play the recording.Let the students listen and check(√) the types of news you hear. 3.Listen again and check the answers. 4.Ask the students to read the sentences in Activity 2. 1)Zhang Li reads ________ on Radio Beijing. 2)The president of Russia will stay in China for ________. 3)The match is between ________ and ________. 5.Have them listen again and complete the sentences. 6.Have some students show their answers and check. Step 3:Listening and reading 1.Ask the students to listen and read the conversation silently. 2.Let them read it and underline all the points which are important with their partners. 3.Show the points to the class,and explain some difficulties to them. 4.Have them read the conversation aloud. Step 4:Practicing 1.Have the students read the conversation again. 2.Ask them to read the sentences in the table in Activity 3. 3.Complete the notes. 4.Check the answers.
