教材分析 This lesson is about a traditional festival—Thanksgiving in America, which is very important for Americans. In this passage, it not only gives us a brief introduction of Thanksgiving, but also tells students its history and different ways of celebration.As English learners, we should know something about foreign culture by some important public holidays. Meanwhile, students can learn about background knowledge of Thanksgiving. Let them know that they should give thanks to their parents, teachers and friends. By learning this lesson, students can learn about other festivals from these aspects, especially its history, ways of celebration. They can compare different cultures with ours as well. And also, we should respect different cultures, that’s an important part of human culture.
