槟城州（the State of Penang），是马来西亚十三个联邦州之一，
位于马来西亚的西北部。

是槟城州的政治、旅游和文化中心。
是首都吉隆坡后马来西亚第二大城市。
2008年被联合国教科文组织列为世界文化遗产。
在Georgetown (乔治市)的Weld Quay（海墘街），姓氏桥（Clan Jetty）是一个著名的地方。是当年下南洋华人的居住地，“桥”不是桥梁，是沿海而建的高脚木屋，更准确些说，是沿海成片建成的木屋村。
当年华人下南洋到了槟城，从事贸易与渔业，以海为生，所以搭起桥板，在上面建造房屋，形成个个独特的小村落。
因为同姓者同住一桥，这些村落便称为姓氏桥。

Penang Hill ，槟城山，距离中心城区Georgetown约6公里，主峰高830米，
为槟城至高点。
昔日英国高官多居住于此，山下士兵利用旗语传递重要讯息，
又称“升旗山”。
游客可徒步或乘坐缆车到山顶去。
行人径设计舒适，由山脚徒步到山顶约四小时，沿途天然植被覆盖。
坐缆车可在约4分钟可到达山顶。
