2. hardly adv. 几乎不; 几乎没有
(1)hardly为表示否定意义的频度副词, 意为“几乎不; 几乎没有”, 通常位于实义动词之前, be动词、助动词、情态动词之后。常构成短语hardly ever“几乎从不”, 表示频率。
(2)如果一个陈述句中出现hardly, 则视为否定句, 改为反意疑问句时, 疑问部分用肯定形式。
I hardly ever watch TV.
我几乎不看电视。
He can hardly speak English, can he

副词, 作状语, 意为“也许、可能”, 相当于perhaps, 可位于句中或句首

“情态动词+动词原形”结构, 作谓语, 意为“可能是”

对频度副词提问 对频度副词提问常用how often, 意为“多久一次”
