设计说明
本节课为读写课,在前几节课听说的基础上进行语言的输出。本课时,首先通过听写复习上节课所学的生词和短语,然后通过师生问答谈论他们的新年计划。同学们通过3a获得写作启示后,结合教师的写作指导,完成3b和3c。最后的口语活动4把学生对自我的认知拓展到对社会环境的认识和规划上,拓宽学生的视野。以小组形式谈论他们自己的城市规划:如何将他们的城市变得更美,使他们具有主人翁意识。
教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)掌握单词:own,personal,relationship。
(2)能够运用一般将来时态及所给的提示词来完成填空的任务。
(3)通过完成Self Check中的练习题来全面复习一般将来时态的用法。
2. 能力目标:能够综合运用所学知识来写自己的新年决心。
3. 情感目标:通过谈论自己的新年决心,让学生制订切实可行的学习计划,并为实现自己的计划而努力。

教学过程
Step 1 Revision & Warming up
1. Have a dictation of the following words and phrases:
be able to,promise,beginning,at the beginning of,write down,physical,themselves,have to do with,self-improvement,take up,hobby,weekly,schoolwork,question,meaning,discuss.
2. Fill in the blanks according to 2b(on the big screen).
(1)A resolution is a kind of promise. We usually make resolutions at the beginning of the year. We hope to improve our lives.
(2)Some resolutions are about physical health. Many resolutions have to do with self-improvement. Some resolutions have to do with better planning,like making a weekly plan for schoolwork.
3. Review the phrases.
(1)at the beginning of在……开始
(2)write down写下;记录下
(3)have to do with与……有关系
(4)have...in common有……共同之处
(5)too...to...太……而不能……
Step 2 Leading in
1. Ask students about their New Year’s resolutions. For example:
T:What’s your New Year’s resolution,A
A:I want to take up volleyball next term.
T:Great!
What about you,B
B:I’m going to make the soccer team. And we’re going to practice soccer every weekend.

2. Present the new words “own,personal,relationship” on the big screen. Ask students to write and remember them.

Step 3 Reading
1. Work on plete the first two paragraphs about resolutions with the words in the box.
2. Read the article and try to fill in the blanks.

Discuss the following language points and fill in the blanks.
(1)own既可作形容词,又可作代词,意为“自己的;本人的”。own当“拥有”讲时,用作动词。如:He owns a car. 他拥有一辆小汽车。
owner为名词,意为“物主;拥有人”。如:I’m the owner of the house. 我是这所房子的主人。
(2)personal作形容词,意为“个人的;私人的”。如:personal computer个人电脑;personal information个人信息。
(3)drive to work意为“开车去上班”,相当于go to work by car。
Step 4 Writing
Work on 3b.
1. Read the headings. Think about your own resolutions.
2. Write your resolutions under the following headings.
(If you don’t have any ideas,you may go through the passage in 2b. )
3. Check the answers with your partners.

1. Use your notes to write three more paragraphs about your resolutions. In each paragraph,write what you are going to do and why.
2. 写作指导:本文要求为自己写决心及做法,并说明原因,因此,应使用一般将来时。
应先根据3b的想法,确定自己的决心,然后,具体说一下自己打算怎样去实现这个决心;最后,再简单地说一下原因。
3. Read your passage to the class.

Sample writing:The second resolution is about improving my physical health. I am going to try a new sport like ping-pong and play it
three times a week. Playing more sports will help me to become healthier and I will not fall ill so often.
The third resolution is about improving my relationships with my family and friends. I am going to spend more time with my family. Maybe we can take up a new hobby together! Doing more things together with my family will make my family happy. I am also going to help my friends more. For example,I can help them with their English homework if there is anything they don’t understand. Helping my friends will show them that I care about them and that they are important to me.
The last resolution is about how to do better at school. I am going to read more books in English. That is going to help me learn more English words. I know I can keep this resolution because reading is fun.
Step 5 Discussing
Work on 4.
1. Discuss the environment in your city. Are the streets and the parks clean

2. Tell students:It’s everyone’s duty to keep our city clean and tidy. Can you think of a plan to make it cleaner and greener
3. Give students some examples:
We’re going to build a new flyover.
We’re going to build more buildings.
We’re going to build a new subway.
We’re going to protect the animals.
We’re going to plant more trees and flowers.
4. Work in pairs to write your own plans on a piece of paper.
5. Let some students read out their plans. See who has the best one.
Step 6 Group work
City designers
Imagine you work for your city. It’s your job to make it better(cleaner,more beautiful,richer,etc. ). What are you going to do
Write about your plans.
Note:drive to work意为“开车去上班”,相当于go to work by car。
如:My father goes to work by car every day.
=My father drives to work every day.
Step 7 Self Check
Work on Self Check 1.
1. Match the jobs with the school subjects.
2. Check the answers. Then make some sentences with them.
For example:

在做书面表达时注意做题技巧:
首先,谋篇布局要注意分段;其次,要根据要求判断时态;最后,要注意恰当运用一些连词、副词或短语等,如and,but,however,what’s more,besides,as well,first,second,next,finally等。
