设计说明
本课时可首先利用图片教授新单词,这样直观性较强,同时也创设了语言学习环境,有利于学生的理解和运用。在阅读2b的过程中,让学生带着问题去读,明确目标,这样可以提高学生快速找出所需信息的能力。然后让学生跟读课文,矫正错误发音,提高他们的听读能力;通过做2c、2d的练习,检查学生对文章的理解情况,巩固对课文的记忆。最后完成2e,巩固学生对重要知识点的应用。
教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)掌握单词:traditional,autumn,celebrate,mix,pepper,fill,plate,cover,serve,temperature。
(2)掌握句型:“...is a time to give thanks for food in the autumn.” “Here is one way to make turkey for a Thanksgiving dinner.” “Next,fill the turkey with this bread mix.”。

Step 1 Warming up & Leading in
1. Check the homework.
(1)Ask some students to tell the process of making a sandwich.
(2)Ask students about special holidays in China and discuss what kind of traditional food people eat on special holidays in China.
(3)Let some students try to guess the meaning of the passage. (T:What do you know about Thanksgiving )
(4)The teacher introduces it and students learn some words.
