Einstein and the little girl
One afternoon, Einstein was walking home from work. At the same time, a 12-year-old girl was walking home from school. They were soon walking side by side. The girl looked at him curiously from time to time.
“Pardon me,” the girl said, “but you look just like Albert Einstein.”
“That’s because I am Albert Einstein!” Einstein said.
“I don’t believe you,” the girl said. “Everyone knows that Einstein is a genius. But you’re wearing your sweater backwards, so you can’t be very clever.”
Einstein began to laugh. “You’re the first person to be so honest with me,” he said to the girl. “It’s a pleasure to hear someone tell me the truth about my look.”

Statement by U.S. President Obama on the Passing of Apple Chief Steve Jobs
Michelle and I are saddened to learn of the passing of Steve Jobs. Steve was among the greatest of American innovators(革新者) -- brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.
By building one of the planet’s most successful companies from his garage, he stood for the spirit of American creativity. By making computers personal and putting the Internet in our pockets, he made the information revolution not only possible, but true and fun. And by turning his talents to story-telling, he has brought joy to millions of children and grown-ups.
Steve liked saying that he lived every day like it was his last. Because he did, he changed our lives, redefined entire industries, and made one of the rarest achievements in human history: he changed the way each of us sees the world.
The world has lost a visionary(有远见的人). And there may be no greater tribute(致敬) to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a machine he invented. Michelle and I send our thoughts and prayers to Steve’s wife Laurene, his family, and all those who loved him.
Think: Did Steve Jobs’ inventions influence your life in some way What can you learn from Steve’s success
