三:语言点导学
1.talk about, 意为“谈论”,后加名词,代词或动名词。
eg: ①I want to talk about the future.
② They are talking about him.
③Let’s talk about learning English.
talk to sb. 跟某人谈话 talk with sb. 与某人谈话,强调双方交谈。
eg: You’d better talk to him .
Let’s talk with each other.
2.by doing sth 通过干某事的方式,介词by“通过…方式或方法”,
by还有“乘坐,在…的旁边,在…以前”的意思。
eg: He makes a living by teaching.
Let’s go there by bus .
He’s sitting by the window.
I’ll reach there by 11 o’clock.
3.practice doing sth. 练习干某事
eg: He practices _______ English every day.他每天练习说英语
4.ask for 请求,要求,寻找 ask sb. for help 向某人求助
eg: I asked for the taxi to come at 8:00
The boy often asks for money from his parents.
When I am in trouble ,I may ask the police for help.
5.What about ∕How about 后跟名词,代词或动名词,用于征求意见,提出建议或询问消息。
eg: What about a cup of tea
What about ∕How about going fishing if it is fine tomorrow
What about going to the zoo this afternoon
=Let’s go to the zoo this afternoon, shall we
=Why not go to the zoo this afternoon
=Shall we go to the zoo this afternoon
=Would you like to go to the zoo with me this afternoon
6. too…to …意为“太……而不能……”,too后跟形容词或副词,to后跟动词原形。eg:
I’m too busy to call on him.我太忙,以至于不能去拜访他。
He is too young to go to school.他太小,不能去上学。
The box is too big for me to carry.这个箱子太大,我搬不动。
The ice is too thin for you to skate on.这冰太薄,你不能在上面滑。
too…to…句型可以转换成so…that + 否定句
/not + adj.(反义词) +enough to do sth.
Eg: The box is so big that I can’t carry it.
The ice is so thin that you can’t skate on it.
I am too busy to go to the movies with you.
= I am so busy that I can’t go to the movies with you.
= I am not free enough to go to the movies with you.
注意:(1)当不定式和主语在逻辑上构成动宾关系时,后面不能再用it或 them作宾语。若不定式的动词是不及物动词,则须加上必要的介词或副词方可和主语构成搭配。如上面的例句。不能说成: The box is too big for me to carry it. The ice is too thin to skate. 第一句中carry的逻辑宾语是主语the box,故加上it 为多余。第二句话中skate 为不及物,须加上介词on方可与主语the ice 搭配,只能说skate on the ice ,不能说skate the ice.
( 2 ).当这种too .…to …句型改成so …that … 句型时,为保持句意的一致,that 引导的结果状语从句中须根据时态用情态动词can’t或couldn’t加动词原形,以强调能力。
(3)在too …to…句型中,当too修饰good ,glad ,happy, kind ,easy, ready/willing(愿意的,乐意的),eager(渴望的,热切的),anxious(渴望的,急切的)等积极意味的词,且后面的不定式不具有否定意义时,too相当于very,意思为“非常”。如:
She ’s too/very willing to help you 。她非常愿意帮助你
I’m too happy to do it.我非常愿意做这种事。
Beginners are too easy to make such mistakes.
初学者很容易犯这样的错误。
