Grammar Revision: Simple sentences

Teaching Objectives:
1. Review the five basic sentence patterns of simple sentence and can use them skillfully.
2. Practise and improve the Ss’ oral English through reviewing grammar.
Teaching important and difficult points:
To master the five sentence patterns and use them skillfully.
Teaching methods:
Task-based method; Inquiry Learning; Group cooperation
Teaching aids: A multi-media system.
Teaching procedures:
Step One: Lead-in
Listen to some music clips and catch the missing words in the lyrics based on what you hear. The sentences containing the missing words are the sentence patterns we are going to review today.
Step Two: Presentation
Look at the above sentences from the lyrics carefully and think about the five sentence patterns of simple sentence.
. 主 + 谓 主 + 谓 + 宾 主 + 系动词 (L.V )+ 表
S + V S + V + O S + V(L.V) + P
主 + 谓(Vt )+ 间宾 + 直宾 主 + 谓(Vt )+ 宾 + 宾补
S + V(Vt) + Oi + Od S + V(Vt) + O + C
Step Three: Self-exploration
Help Ss to understand the five sentence patterns using more examples with some pictures. Lead them to pay attention to some difficult points.
Step Four: Consolidation (group work)
Each group has 2 chances to select a number and behind each number they would have a problem to solve, if they finish it they will get 5 to 20 points. There are also some surprises.
Step Five: Oral practice
Each group is asked to make up a short story by using the given words, at least 3 sentence patterns must be included in the story, then a representative from each group speak out the story.
Step Six: Make a summary.
Guide the Ss to review what we have learned in this period and ask them to master the important knowledge.
Step Seven: Homework.
Fill in the blanks with proper words, pay attention to the sentence patterns.
Postcards always spoil my holidays. Last summer, I went to Italy. I (1)___________ (visit) museums and sat in public gardens. A (2)________(friend) waiter taught me a few words of Italian. 常见的须带双宾语的动词有:
give, ask, bring, offer, send, pay,
lend, show, tell, buy, get, rob, warn等。
主 + 谓(Vt )+ 宾 + 宾补

Conclusion
“宾补”对宾语进行补充说明;可以做宾语补足语的词常有:形容词、副词、介词短语、名词、不定式、现在分词、过去分词

不定式
在一感feel,二听hear, listen to, 三让have, let, make,四看see, look at, observe, watch等动词后的宾语补足语如果为不定式,则省掉to(但变为被动语态时,则要带to)
