In the clip, the mother is overjoyed to open her arms to the child who has brought joy to her life again. But as the little bun grows up quickly, the mother realizes in the bittersweet taste that nothing is permanent and the child always has to grow up.

No, your taste buds aren’t playing tricks on you! Despite their similar qualities, there is a difference. Pepsi and Coca-Cola may be one of the most controversial drink debates of all time. A strong divide(分歧)between Coke drinkers and Pepsi lovers has always existed. Yet, the two drinks are almost same in every way from their color to their ingredients(成分). Both contain sodium(钠), sugar, carbonated water(碳酸水), high fructose(果糖)corn syrup(糖浆), phosphoric acid, caffeine, and natural flavors. Despite their similarities, Pepsi and Coca-Cola still give people two different flavor experiences, which explains why people prefer one over the other.
In Blink, a book about decision making and thinking, by author and journalist, Malcolm Gladwell, he writes, “Pepsi is sweeter than Coke and is also characterized by a citrusy flavor burst, unlike the more raisiny-vanilla taste of Coke.” In fact, a 12 ounce(盎司)can of Pepsi has one thing Coke does not—citric acid(柠檬酸). In addition, Pepsi also has two more grams(克)of sugar than Coke. These two differences give Pepsi its sweet, citrus-like flavor that people either love or loathe. Plus, the additional 15 mg of sodium in a can of Coke may explain why it tastes more like a club soda with a toned-down sweetness.
1. Which of the following is NOT the similarities of these two drinks
A. They have the same color.
B. They have the same ingredients.
C. They both have sugar.
D. They have the same flavor.
2. What does the underlined word “loathe” mean in Paragraph 2
A. like B. dislike
C. care D. love
3. Which ingredient can’t be found in Coke
A. Citric acid. B. Sugar.
C. Carbonated water. D. Sodium.
4. Which is TRUE about Pepsi and Coke according to the book In Blink
A. Coke is cheaper than Peps.
B. Pepsi is sweeter than Coke.
C. Coke tastes better than Pepsi.
D. Pepsi is more popular than Pepsi.

A new study found that spending time around “blue spaces”—like beaches, harbors, coastlines, etc. —is “related to good self-reported health.”
The study also found a link between people who often visit places by the water in their free time and “a lower risk of depression”.
The researchers conducted a survey of 1,000 people in Hong Kong, 80 percent of whom were more than 50 years old, and asked them about their overall health and emotional(情绪的)well-being, in addition to the amount of time they spend near bodies of water, or “blue spaces”.
The researchers also found, not so surprisingly, that living a walkable distance from a body of water(like 10 to 15 minutes away)meant people were a lot more likely to spend their free time there, and therefore feel the benefits even more.
The takeaway from this research is about as clear as the water in the Bahamas: being near the ocean, a lake, maybe even just a pool, is pretty good for you. Another study, which included responses from more than 48 million people in England, showed that “people living near the coast tend to have better health than those living inland,” regardless of age, gender(性别), and even social and economic factors.
1. How many people over fifty years old attended the survey
A. 800 B. 200 C. 500 D. 1000
2. People feel better when they live according to the passage.
A. near a school. B. in big cities.
C. next to lakes. D. next to stations.
3. The underlined word “responses” means in Chinese.
A. 反馈 B. 依赖
C. 支持 D. 反对
4. Which factor is Not mentioned in the conclusion
A. Age. B. Gender.
C. Social factors. D. Education levels.
