It is reported that Karl Lagerfeld, the artistic director for Chanel, died aged 85 in Paris, leaving the fashion world reeling at the loss of the man.
As the fashion world mourns Lagerfeld, his beloved cat Choupette is one of many who could be set to inherit his 150 million fortune.

Green snow has fallen on a Russian city, sparking an outcry(抗议)over pollution. Chemicals pumped out by a chrome(铬)factory in Pervouralsk have been blamed for the phenomenon(现象), the latest in a string of environmental concerns thought to be damaging Vladimir Putin’s popularity.
Protests have also been held over a Siberian coal processing(加工) plant blamed for turning snow black, while residents of Sibai have launched legal action over smog which has blanketed the Southern Urals town since last November.
Parents in Pervouralsk, a city in the central Russian Sverdlovsk region, told local media their children had fallen ill after green snow fell near their nursery. “They had a cough and their skin turned red, rashes(皮疹) on their face,” Natalya Solovey told ND News.
The chrome factory has denied the chemical poses a health risk.
It is not the first time pollution from the factory turned snow green in the city. In 2016, the phenomenon was caused by an overflowing pipe spilled chromium contaminated water on to streets.

The supplier QualcommInc(高通公司)won a second court skirmish(冲突)in its worldwide patent battle with Apple on Thursday, with the iPhone maker saying it would pull some older models from its German stores.
Qualcomm’s win in Germany comes weeks after it secured a court order to ban sales of some iPhone models in China.
Apple, which is contesting both rulings, has continued to offer its iPhones in China but made changes to its iOS operating system in the wake of the Chinese order.
The German victory may affect only a few million iPhones out of the hundreds of millions that Apple sells each year.

Samsung unveiled(发行)a highly anticipated(备受期待的)smartphone with a foldable(可折叠的)screen.
But it’s not clear that consumers will accept a device that retails for almost $2, 000, or that it will provide the creative catalyst the smartphone market needs.
The Galaxy Fold, announced Wednesday in San Francisco, will sell for $1, 980 when it is released April 26.

A big fire burnt the upper parts of Paris’ famous Notre-Dame(圣母院)on Monday.
Notre-Dame is considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic(哥特式的)building. Notre Dame de Paris means Our Lady of Paris. The building stands on the Ile de la Cite, a small island in Paris’ Seine River.
