一、教学内容
本节课选自人教版新目标八年级上册Unit 6 I’m going to study computer science.第一课时. 本单元的中心话题是谈论理想,学生将要学会谈论自己的理想和如何去实现自己的理想;他们还要学习谈论将来的职业选择,并学着给出理由。涉及到的词汇有职业名词,工作地点,及交流所要使用的目标语言等项目。本单元所要学习的内容与学生目前的生活实际、未来的职业选择密切相关,语言材料可操练性强,在谈论自己及他人理想时有话可说;在论及未来的理想职业时更可以畅所欲言。主要语言功能项目是谈论理想。语法结构为 What do you want to be How are you going to do that 根据《英语课程标准》及本单元教材内容和八年级学生的学,我对教材进行了合理的整合,将SectionA1a.1b.1c 2a 2b 2c 整合为第一个课时的教学内容,其目的是通过本课的学习使学生学会常见职业名称及用英语表述自己的理想。
二、教学目标(知识,能力,情感态度、价值观)
Knowledge Object: 学生通过感知、操练、应用,能够听、说、读、写grow up, computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientist, take acting lessons, computer等词汇。通过师生互动、生生互动,在创设情境或真实情境下,听、说、读句型 What do you want to be when you grow up I want to be a computer programmer.How are you going to do that I’m going to study computer science.通过模仿和操练理解be going to do 表示计划,打算的语法意义。Ability Object: 1.回顾并学习职业名词。2.初步学习使用目标句子谈论理想。3.能口头运用所学目标语言在小组之间经过相互帮助,谈论自己和他人的理想。情感态度价值观:1.培养学生的自学能力与合作学习能力。2.学生在本课词汇及句型的学习过程中逐渐树立自己的人生目标,懂得目标的实现要从现在脚踏实地做起。3.在交谈理想的过程中学会尊重别人的感受和职业选择。
三、教学的重点难点
重点:学习和扩充职业词汇:computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, , driver ,pilot, pianist, scientist,等。掌握功能语言:-What do you want to be when you grow up --I want to be a computer programmer.--How are you going to do that --I’m going to study computer science.难点:对How are you going to do that 的回答。
四、教学准备
本节课,应用多媒体课件、图片等相关教学资源。运用远教资源和网络资源中的图片、声音媒体等手段向学生呈现常见职业名词,询问理想及如何实现理想的常用句式等,从谈论人们的职业入手,结合学生生活实际,营造良好的语言学习情景,使学生敢于说,愿意说。采用情景视听法,小组合作学习,小组竞赛,任务型教学法,为学生设置真实的情景、语境,使学生在学中用在用中习得语言,帮助学生养成良好语言学习习惯。

Step1Lead-in(2minutes) 1 .Greet the students. 2. Free Talk.A: What do you want to be Do you want to be a/an… B: Talk about dream jobs freely. 通过谈论学生梦想中的工作,以及通过谈论Bill Gates(有名的电脑程序设计师)激发学生的兴趣,同时导入本节课的内容。
Step2Presentation and pair-work(8minutes) 1.Show some pictures by computer to teach them the names of jobs. 2. Work in pairs.Practice by using “What do you want to be when you grow up I’m going to be a/an...” 1.Look at the pictures and try to learn the words.2.Pair work. 通过出示不同职业的图片,让学生学习新的职业名词,然后学生对话过程中识记词汇,真正体现学生在用中学的理念。
Step 3Group work (6minutes) Divide the Ss in several groups.2.Teacher show the new question “How are you going to do that ”Help Ss answer by using “I’m going to do ...”Teacher can help them if necessary. 1.SS try to make the conversations in group .2.One group have a show, the other groups have to listen carefully and make notes. 1.对How are you going to do that 的回答是本节课的难点。团结就是力量通过教师的引领,同学们的合作努力,相互帮助,每一个同学都可以找到自己实现目标的途径并能用英语表达出来,展示自我。2.通过探讨,同学们明白人生的目标必须通过现实的努力才能实现。
Step 4Listening and pair-work(8minutes) 1 . Give them some time to read the phrases.2. Play the tape recorder.3.Check their answers.4. Point out one pair to make a model. “What do you want to be when you grow up I want to be a/an...”5. Have Ss practice in pairs. 1.Try to understand the words and expressions.2.Listen to the tape.3.Give the right answer.3.Ss work in pairs by using the information of listening .4..Ss act out the conversations. 1.通过听力练习,培养学生对语言的感知能力,并掌握一定的听力技能。2.这一环节能够很好的体现语言的输入和输出。学生能够运用目标语言,并能流利的与同伴进行口语交际,能与他人沟通信息,小组合作完成任务。
Step5Listening and pair-work(5 minutes) 1. Give them some time to read the pictures and the chart.2. Play the tape recorder.3. Check their answers. 1.Learn to how to do listening.2.Listen to the tape. 培养学生最基本的听力技能。在谈论他人的理想中培养学生的合作学习能力。
Step6pair-work and give reports(8minutes) 1. Ask several Ss share their answers.2. Give Ss the beginning and ask them to make a report. 1. Act out their conversations.2. Give a report according to the survey. 1.通过活动让学生进一步巩固运用所学语言,提高综合运用语言能力,学会与人合作。2.使用目标语言,联系生活实际,激发学生的参与热情,真正做到了让学生在做中学,学中用,体验学习的愉悦。
