Ⅰ.The analysis of the teaching material
This design is chosen from Go For It,Grade 7, Unit7SectionA 1a-1c.The topic of this Unit is to learn to talk about the weather. Students will learn how to ask the weather and how to describe the weather.At the same time,they will go on learning Present progressive tense. In this class,I mainly guide students to learn how to ask and describe the weather.Students’ mastery of the knowledge of this class directly affects their later learning.
Ⅱ.The analysis of the students
As the students of Grade7,they are active and creative . They have mastered a lot of English words and some expressions. They have gained some abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. I will mainly train their speaking and listening ability .

Step 1.Lead-in 1.Greet the students.2.Show a video,let students watch and answer the questions..How does the girl ask the weather 3.How’s the weather in Ankang (T:This class I will guide you to travel to Ankang and find out the weather in different places.) In order to arouse students’ interests and lead to the topic.
Step 2.Presentation 1.General introduction about the places in Ankang.(T:There are 10 counties(县) in Ankang.The weather is different in different places . Let me guide you to travel from the North to the South!) Let students know the counties of Ankang and get ready to learn the know knowledge.
Show the maps and pictures about Ningshan. Shiquan. Hanyin. Hanbin.and Xunyang and set a situation.T :First,we will travel to... .Then ask: How’s the weather in... /What’s the weather like in... Show some symbols about weather,then guide students to learn to describe the weather.It’s sunny and warm\rainy and wet\.... Students will learn how to ask and describe the weather in English.
Step 3.Pair work Show the map and the symbols about weather in the other counties of Ankang, let students ask and answer about the weather in these counties in pairs.5.To show the ways to ask weather and some words about weather. Students practice the key sentences and words to ask and describe the weather in pairs to master the target language.
Step 4. Production Let students try to help AKTV give a weather report about the counties of Ankang.To show the moral aims and culture differences.T: Weather is a common topic for foreigners to talk about when they meet. Next time ,when you meet your foreign friends,you can begin your talk with weather. To train students’ ability to use the target language freely and check if they master them well.And get students know the culture differences between China and foreign countries.
Step5.Emotional education To show three pictures about how weather affects our health, then remind students to pay attention to the changing of weather and care about heir health. To care about the changing of weather and health.
