形容词比较级
Tony is taller than Daming.
托尼比大明高。
Dalian is smaller than Shanghai.
大连比上海小。
New York is bigger than Cambridge.
纽约比剑桥大。
从上面的例子我们可以看出，在对两者进行比较时，形容词要用比较级的形式，形容词比较级之后要用than引出比较的对象。

二、形容词比较级的具体用法
对两个同类的人或事物进行对比。如:
Our teacher is older than Tony’s.
我们的老师比托尼的老师年纪大。
The sun is bigger than the moon.
太阳比月亮大。
2. 对同一人或事物的不同情况进行对比。如:
The little girl is much happier to play outside than to stay at home.
那小女孩在外面玩的时候比呆在家里时高兴多了。
3. 除了作表语, 形容词比较级也可以用来修饰名词。如:
I don’t like Shanghai. I want to live in a smaller city.
我不喜欢上海，我想生活在一个小一点的城市。
