Banerjee has called his new machine the Braigo-- a combination of the words Braille and Lego. It works by translating electronic text into Braille and then printing it using a computer.
Banerjee made his Braigo last year for a school science contest. Since then, he has caught the interest of a company in the USA. The company put some money in Banerjee's machine last November, but they did not say how much money they put in.
Banerjee also got $35, 000 from his father to help him start the project. His father explained why he gave so much money to his son. Astronomy(天文学)is the oldest science known to men. Thousands of years ago, men looked at the stars and wondered about the heavens(苍穹).
The Greeks studied astronomy over 2, 000 years ago. They could see the size, color and brightness a star. They could see its place in the sky. They watched the stars move as the seasons changed. But the Greeks had no tools to help them study the heavens. Each new tool added to the field of astronomy helped men reach out into space. Until there were telescopes, men did not know much about the moon. They did not know that the planet called Saturn(土星)had rings around it. Their sight was so limited that they could not see all the planets. In the early 1700s people thought there were only six planets. Pluto(冥王星), the last of the nine plane nets to be discovered was not seen until 1930.
Before the spectroscopes(分光镜), men didn’t know what kind of gas was in the sun or other stars Without radio telescopes(射电望远镜), we did not know that radio noise came far from space.
Today, astronomy is a growing science. We have learned more in the past fifty years than in the whole history of astronomy.

Venus, the evening star, is a brother planet of our earth. 66 It's covered with air and clouds. Scientists once thought that there might be some kinds of life under the clouds. Recently, they have found that it's too hot-400℃. 67 Why is it so hot then 68 CO2 allows the heat of the sun to go to the ground. At the same time, it prevents the heat from going out. 69 Thus(因此)most of the heat from the sun is kept in the air forever. The temperature goes up every year, and it's 400%℃ now.
The United Nations suggested that all leaders in the world should meet to discuss cutbacks(缩减)of CO2. Other people in Europe have started a battle called"Green Peace Movement". 70 No one would like to change our green earth into a red hot planet like Venus.
This is called"the greenhouse effect
It moves around the sun, just as the earth does
