----Reading: First Impressions
一、学情分析
The students of Senior 2 have acquired certain
reading abilities.But students still find it difficult to
finish the tasks, such as the underlined word or
the best titles in the reading passage.
The content of the passage provides students
with the space of imagination and aims to
develop their ability to predict the future.
二、学习内容（教材分析）
The topic of this unit is life in the future.
The reading in the textbook is to introduce a spacemail, which narrates how Li Qiang
arrived at the future world, his impressionsof it as well as daily life and the means of
transport in the future.
知识目标
Knowledge goal:
Students will be able to grasp the usage of some key words and expressions in this article, such as take up; unsettled; fasten
the safety belt; be back on one's feet; stewardess
Ability goal:
（1) Students will be able to apply two basic reading skills: skimming and scanning while reading the article in this class.
（2) Students will learn some writing techniques, such as how to describe one's feelings, how to describe terrible surroundings.
（3) Students will learn to use some words to express their own feelings.
情感态度
Emotion goal：
1) Students will be able to understand and grasp the impressions of Li Qiang's journey to the future life.
2) Students are expected to know the significance of environmental protection and take actions to protect our future.
四.教学重点
Help the sdudents grasp knowledge points.
Learn about life in the tuture.
To improve the students’ reading ability.
五.教学难点
Inspire the students to imagine the future life.
Inspire the students to say something about the future transportation ,air quality and houses.

Teaching Methods:
1. Skimming ＆ scanning method to make the Ss better understand the whole passage.
2. Task based teaching method to let the students further understand the passage.
3. Discussion method to make the Ss understand what they've learnt in the class.
4.Coorperative teaching method to get every student to take part in the teaching and learning activities.
