一、教学目标

Language points
1. Go along Main Street until you pass Center Street.
(1) go along 意为“沿着……向前走”，这是一个指路的常用的表达。
【拓展】常见的指路的表达方式还有：
Go past the bank and then turn right on... Street.
Go down this street.
Walk/Go along this road/bridge.
Go/Walk straight on, and you’ll see/find the…
Just cross the road. Walk past the…and turn left at the first crossing/turning.
Walk on and turn left/right, and you’ll see it.
(2) until和till同义为“直到……”， till多用于口语。until可以放在句首，till则不能放在句首。not ... until 意为“直到……才”，表示直到某一时间，某一行为才发生，之前该行为并没有发生。
e.g. I did not study English until 9 o’clock last night.
2. Go past the bookstore.
句中的past是介词，意为“经过”，常和walk, run, go表示位移的动词连用。
e.g. The boys walked past Tom’s house.
3. Pardon
(1) pardon 用作动词, 后面既可以跟宾语, 也可以跟双宾语。pardon sb. for doing sth.意为“原谅/宽恕某人做某事”。
e.g. Can you pardon me for not passing the exam, Mom
(2) 在没有听懂对方的话, 请对方重复一下时也可说 pardon。
e.g. Pardon I’m sorry I can’t follow you.
