一、教学目标

重点:

Work on Grammar focus
Read the sentences in Grammar Focus and try to find out the usage of “used to”.
Grammar points
The usage of “used to”:used to 是固定搭配,意为“过去常常,过去曾经(存在)”,表示过去某种习惯性、经常性的动作或过去存在的某种状态,暗含现在已不再发生或不存在之意。主语可以是各种人称,用于过去时态,其后跟动词原形。
肯定句:Sb. used to…
否定句:Sb. didn’t use to…
一般疑问句: Did sb. use to…
反意疑问句: 附加疑问部分用did/ didn’t
拓展:Sb. be (get) used to doing sth. 意为“某人习惯于……”。 Sth. be used to do /for doing sth. 意为“某物被用于做……”。
Step 3 Practice
Do some grammar exercises and check the answers.
【设计意图】让学生通过阅读题干的方式来总结“used to”的用法,教师加以总结归纳,加深学生印象, 并通过练习检测学生的掌握程度。
Work on 4a & 4b
1. Let Ss write sentences about the past using used to.
2. Let Ss look at the information and write sentences about Emily.
