not only…but also… 意为“不但……而且……”；若连接两个成分作主语，谓语动词与靠近的主语保持一致。

the number of… 意为“……的数量；……的数目”；作为主语时谓语动词用单数形式。
e.g. The number of women teachers in our school is 400.

look up to 意为“钦佩；仰慕”。
