(1) be born with 意为“生而具有;生就”
e.g. He was born with a good memory.
(2) ability 意为“能力;才能”。
常用短语: the ability to do sth. 意为“做某事的能力”

e.g. He has the ability to speak Chinese fluently.

(2)be good at… 意为“擅长……”,后加名词、代词、动名词。相当于do well
in… 意为“在某方面做得好”。

7. Even if you learn something well, you will forget it unless you use it. 即使是你学
得好的东西,如果你不使用,就会忘记。
(1) even if 意为“即使;纵然;尽管”,引导让步状语从句,相当于even though。
e.g. We can buy things even if we don’t take any money.
(2) unless 意为“除非;如果不”,引导条件状语从句,相当于if...not。在许多
情况下二者可以互换。
e.g. You will fail the exam unless you work hard.= If you don’t work hard, you will
fail the exam.
