原级和比较级区分程度的不同：
原级是说明两个人物或事物的程度是一样。
比较级是区分两个人物或事物的程度不一样。
基本句型：主语+ 谓语 + 形容词/副词原级 +….
He is very old now. 他现在很老了。
They ran quite fast. 它们跑得相当快。
The weather looks bad.天气看上去相当糟
I am so happy. 我是如此的快乐。
原级的用法
表示两者之间没有差别时,使用句型：
as + 形容词/副词原级 + as…. 和...一样...
not so/as ...as... 不如...那样...
如：他和他妹妹一样兴奋。
He is as excited as his younger sister.
He is not so/as excited as his younger sister.
她和我一样有趣。
She is as interesting as me.
She is not so/as interesting as me.
克莱尔和Tom起得一样早。
Claire gets up as early as Tom.
Claire doesn't get up as/so early as Tom.
1. A + be + 形容词比较级 + than + B
I'm outgoing. 我很外向。
I’m more outgoing than you. 我比你更外向。
两者进行比较,表示“一方比另一方更……”
2. A + 实义动词 + 副词比较级 + than + B
Tom jumps high. Tom跳得高。
Tom jumps higher than Jack. 汤姆比鲍勃跳得更高。

The more you eat, the taller you are.

形容词和副词的比较级前可以用a little，much，a lot等词语修饰。
The jacket is much cheaper than the sweater.
这件夹克比毛衣便宜多了。
I'm a little more popular than Tom.
我比汤姆更受欢迎一点。
Can you speak a little more loudly
你能讲得更大声一点吗？
I'm a lot taller than you.

5. 使用形容词比较级时需注意以下几点：
1) than后面接代词时, 一般要用主格形式，
但在口语中也可使用宾格形式。
My brother is taller than I/me.
I am smarter than he/him.
You're more beautiful than she/her.
2) 进行比较的人和物必须是同一类。
My books are more than yours.
I have more books than you.
