Step 1 Present pictures and a passage about Thanksgiving. Introduce the origin of Thanksgiving.
Step 2 Ask Ss to read the passage quickly and match the headings with the paragraphs.
Step 3 Listen and read.Ask two questions about the passage and let Ss answer.First read the table in Activity 3 and then complete it.
Step 4 Free talkIf today is Thanksgiving Day, what / who would you like to give thanks to
Step 5 Activity 4. Tell Ss first to read the words in the box and find out in the passage in Activity 2.Complete the passage using the words in the correct form.
Step 6 Ask Ss to write about an unforgettable festival or holiday.
