教学目标 1. Talk about a wonder of the world with facts and express one’s preference by making comparisons. 2. Understand the conversation about natural wonders and man-made wonders.
教学重点 Key vocabulary: nature, wonder, discussion, eastern, though, loud, in one’s opinion, more than, millions of Key sentences: ①I think natural wonders are more interesting than man-made ones. ②I’ve never seen it, so I’m not sure I agree with you. ③That sounds great, though I think Victoria Falls in Africa is even more fantastic. ④It’s about 1, 700 metres wide and 100 metres high.

教学环节教师活动Step 1 Warming up and leading in. 1. Play the video about wonders of the world. 2. This is the first class we have after the long vacation. Today we’ll learn Module 1. This module’s theme is Wonders of the world. Who can say something about this theme Step 2 Pre-listening (Activities 1&2)1. Show pictures of the Terracotta Army, the Three Gorges Dam, the Giant’s Causeway and Victoria Falls. Then ask: What are they 2. Ask the students to talk about the pictures with the words in the box and answer the questions. 3. Play the recorder. Step 3 While-listening (Activities 3, 4 & 5)1. Play the recorder and guide the students to catch the key words and main sentences. Help the students check the true sentences in Activity 3. 2. Play the recorder again and have the students answer the questions in Activity 4. 3. Guide the students to complete the sentences in Activity 5. 4. Play the recorder for the third time and ask the students to pay attention to the pronunciation. Step 4 Post-listening (Activities 6&7)1. Play the recorder for the students to read. If necessary, play twice. 2. Invite a few students to say the sentences for the class. 3. Put students in small groups and encourage them to think of famous places and describe which wonders they would like to visit and give a reason. Step 5 Summarize 1.
