Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925) was widely considered to be the founder and forerunner of modern China. He was only in power for a short time, when he was president of the country in 1912.So it may seem odd to some people________knowledge of China may be limited that he is such an important figure.However, his influence is not based on his time in office, but on his continuous struggle for a better society and his concern for all Chinese people.
