1. 先行词被序数词或形容词最高级所修饰, 或本身是序数词、基数词、形容词最高级时, 只能用that, 而不用which。e.g. He was the first person that passed the exam.
3. 先行词被the only, the very, the same, the last, little, few 等词修饰时, 只能用that, 而不用which。e.g. This is the same bike that I lost.
4. 先行词里同时含有人或物时, 只能用that, 而不用which。e.g. I can remember well the persons and some pictures that I saw in the room.
5. 以who或which引导的特殊疑问句, 为避免重复, 只能用that。e.g. Who is the girl that is crying
6. 主句是there be 结构, 修饰主语的定语从句用that, 而不用which。e.g. There is a book on the desk that belongs to Tom.
关系词只能用that的情况:
1.定义:定语从句修饰名词或代词。
定语从句考点: 先行词/关系词/主谓一致性
宾语从句考点: 时态/陈述语序/连接词
定语从句和宾语从句的区别
2.位置:定语从句放在名词或代词后,译成“……的”;宾语从句放
在动词后。
3.成分:定语从句作定语;宾语从句作宾语。
试比较:a. He promised that he would give me a present.
b. He made a promise that he could not keep.
a句是宾语从句,that仅为连接词,不充当句子成分;
b句是定语从句,that在句子中代替promise作keep的宾语,是关系代词,充当句子成分,且连接句子。
4.时态:定语从句时态不受主句影响;宾语从句时态与主句有关联。

My future life
I am leaving junior high school soon and I have a plan for my future. I want to go to a better senior high school and get special training. I like English and I am also good at English, so I want to be better at English and I plan to specialize in English for science and technology. I want to be skilled in it and make it my career.
I hope I could translate some articles of science and technology. I want to be a knowledgeable person and I want to make my life fruitful.
