Underline the adjectives
Circle the adverbs.
Tips: 形容词常与与be动词连用;
副词修饰行为动词,并往往位于动词后面。

单音节词和部分双音节词 一般在词尾加-er cold colder
以字母e结尾的词,加-r nice nicer
重读闭音节词只有一个辅音字母时,应先双写辅音字母;再加-er big bigger
以“辅音字母+y”结尾的词,先把“y”改为“i”,再加-er easy easier
多音节词和部分双音节词 在词前加more Interest -ing more interesting

(1)A + be + 形容词比较级 + than + B“A比B更...”
(2)A + 实义动词 + 副词比较级+ than + B “A比B更...”
Tips: than表示“更”,
前后所使用的动词相同时,通常用助动词代替后面的动词或省略后面的动词。
Lv Bu is taller than Lu Ban.吕布比鲁班更高。
Dun Shan is larger than Lu Ban. 盾山比鲁班更大。
Zhuang Zhou runs faster than Lu Ban. 庄周比鲁班跑得更快。
Zhou Yu studies harder than Li Bai. 周瑜比李白学习更努力 。

2. 形容词和副词的比较级常用结构2(必背)
(1)the + 比较级 + of the two “两者中比较……的”
Zhao Yun is the quicker of the two. 赵云是两者中比较快的。
Lu Ban is less tall than Lv Bu. 鲁班不如吕布高。
(Lv Bu is taller than Lu Ban.)(吕布比鲁班更高。
(3)Which/Who... + 比较级, A or B :“A和B,哪一个/谁更……?”
Who is taller, Lu Ban or Lv Bu 鲁班和吕布谁更高?
(4)A+ 基础词(倍数) + 比较级 + than + B :“A是B的多少倍”。
My rank is three times higher than Xue Yuheng’s. 我的等级比薛宇恒高三倍。
2. 形容词和副词的比较级常用结构3(拓展)
(2)A + less+原级形容词+than+ B “A不及B...”
(5)比较级 + than any (other) + 可数名词单数
= 比较级 + than the other + 可数名词复数 :
“比其他任何/所有……都……”。该句型在同一范围内进行比较
Arena of Valor is more fun than any other game.
= Arena of Valor is more fun than the other games.
王者荣耀比任何其他游戏都好玩
2. 形容词和副词的比较级常用结构3(必背+拓展)
当表示一方超过另一方的“程度”时,可以用much, a lot, a little, a bit, even, far等来修饰形容词比较级。注意:比较级不能用very, so, too等修饰。
He is much more handsome than his brother.
This book is even more useful than that one.
Can you come to school a little earlier tomorrow morning
巧学妙记:两多(much, a lot)两少(a little, a bit)一甚至(even),还有一个远(far)去了。

as...as…与……一样,表示两个人/物在某方面程度相同。两个as中间是形容词或副词的原级。
Jim is as tall as Li Lei.
Jim runs as quickly as Li Lei.
