Lead-in 1. Review: Translate the phrases in Unit 2 into English.2. Ask Ss to complete a passage to review Steve’s problem.
Step 1 Present some sentences with if-clause.
Step 2 Explain the use of if-clause.
Practice if-clause by completing the sentences.
Step 3 Complete Activity 1. Rewrite the sentences with if.
Step 4 More exercise related to if-clause.
Step 5 Complete Activity 3/4/5.
Step 5 Enjoy a song Don’t Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin.
Step 6 Summarise expressions of how to give advice to others.
Step 7 Present three pictures with each situation and ask Ss to give their advice for each person.
Step 8 Activity 6. Listen and read the problems and answer some questions.
Step 9 Ask Ss to listen and read each problem and give their advice. For each one.
Step 10 Activity 7. Listen to the conversation and answer the questions.
