Procedure
Lead-in Review. Translate the phrases in Unit 1 into English.Translate the sentences.
Step 1 Free talk. Present pictures and contents of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Introduce the novel and its writer Mark Twain.
Step 2 Listen and read the passage quickly and answer some questions.
Step 3 Listen to the passage and match the headings with the paragraphs.
Step 4 Read again and answer some more questions.
Step 5 Complete Activity 3.
Step 6 Ask Ss to talk freely of their opinion of the hero in the story.
Step 7 Writing Write a passage about their favourite book. Use the passage in Activity 2 as a module.
