二、不定冠词 a 和 an 的用法
不定冠词有a 和an两种形式,通常用在可数名词单数形式前。a用于发音以辅音音素开头的单词前面,an用于发音以元音音素开头的单词前面。
注意:判断一个单词是以元音开头还是以辅音开头,是根据单词音标的第一个音素,而不是根据其首字母。
不定冠词的主要用法:
(1)表示数量“一”,用于可数名词的单数形式前。 There is a book on the desk. 桌上有一本书。
(2)表示一类人或物,用于可数名词的单数形式前。A child needs love. 孩子需要爱。
(3)表示“某一个”,不具体指明是何人何物。
