two peas in a pod本意为“一个豆荚里的两
颗豆”,此处意为“一模一样,形影不离” 。

stop doing sth. “停止做某事”,指停止正在做的事情。stop to do sth. “停下来开始做某事”,指停下来去做另一件事情。

句型:主语+ 不及物动词
(Subject + Intransitive Verb)
特点:谓语动词是不及物动词,后面不加宾语,但可以加副词、介词短语等。

句型:主语+ 及物动词+ 宾语
(Subject + Transitive Verb+ Object)
特点:谓语动词是及物动词,宾语通常是名词、代词、不定式、v.-ing形式等。
3. Patrick felt awful.
句型:主语+ 系动词+ 表语
(Subject + Link Verb +Predicative)
特点:谓语动词是系动词,如:be, become, get, look, feel, smell, sound等;表语通常是名词、代词、形容词、副词、不定式等。
4. I won’t lend you my homework.
句型:主语+双宾动词+间接宾语+直接宾语
(Subject +Verb + Indirect Object +Direct Object)
特点:句中的间接宾语指人, 直接宾语指物。
5. I saw him dancing in the park.
句型: 主语+ 及物动词+ 宾语+宾语补足语
(Subject +Transitive Verb + Object+ Object Complement)
特点:宾语补足语用来补充说明宾语的动作或状态,名词、形容词、不定式、介词短语等都可以作宾语补足语。
在双宾句子结构中,间接宾语也可以放在直接宾语之后,但这时需要在间接宾语前加介词 to 或 for。
