Modern transportation is very important in our lives. Years ago people had to move heavy goods from one place to another by hand. Today, modern transportation including ships, planes, trains, and automobiles(汽车) helps us a lot.
However, every coins has two sides. Modern transportation has some problems. With more cars on the road, there have been more traffic jams and accidents. And it causes heavy air pollution.
Here in China, scientists are working on developing modern fuel that produces less pollution. We can also help reduce air pollution from automobiles by only driving when it is necessary and using public transportation if possible.
