教材分析 This book is published by People’s Education Press. This unit builds on the superlative degree. The topic of this section is the best clothes stores and the best radio station, which focuses on the evaluation on different clothes stores and radio stations.
学情分析 The students from Grade 8. Most of them have a foundation in the language. They have learned superlative degree and the best movie theaters. They are familiar with this topic.
教学目标 知识与技能 By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:Get the main idea by choosingGet the detailed information by matching and filling the blanksWork in pairs to talk about the best clothes stores and the best radio stations.
过程与方法 Through the application of task-based learning skills and communicative approach, Ss can practice listening skills and ask/answer the best ** and give the reason.
教学重点 To listen to the name of the clothes stores and the radio stations.
教学难点 To listen to the features of the three stores and three radio stations.

Step 1Warm up Ask students what they think is the most factors?(quality、price、the shape) Listen to the teacher, and share own ideas To engage them in the topic, and to allow new learning to build on prior learning.
Step2 Pre-teach vocabulary Tell them my experience: I bought three same clothes from Miller’s, Blue Moon and Dream Clothes(show the pictures of the stores)but their qualities are different. show three same clothes with different qualities. First one is good, second one is worse, the last one is the worst) The good one is expensive,--with $50. the worst one I bought it cheaply—with $30. Expensive means I spent more money. Cheaply means I got it with less money. ( every now word appears, teach the sound)Give some numbers and ask them how to read them. Then read some numbers and ask students write down them. Listen to the teacher; learn the meaning and the sound of the new words. To reduce the obstacle of listening that the new words may make.
Step 3Listen for gist Before listening, give them same names ( Prada, Dream clothes, Miller’s, Only, Blue Moon.) of clothes stores. Listen once, and ask them circle the clothes stores they hear. Check the answer. While they give the answer,write the three clothes stores on the blackboard.Listen again, and match the features of each store.(附录) And ask them which is the best (Miller’s) Give ss radio stations and play the tape. Ask students to circle the radio station they heard. Listen again and let students match the features of each radio station.(附录) Listen to tape, circle the clothes stores they hear.Listen again, and match the features. To let students know the objectives of this listening.To let students know the general features of each store/radio station
Step 4Listen for details Let Ss listen twice continually but separately(Mill’s,Blue Moon,Dream Clothes).And finish the blanks. (附录)First part-about the Mill’s, play the tape, and ask students to tell the missing words. Second part-about Blue Moon, play the tape, and ask students to tell the missing words.Third part-the Dream Clothes, play the tape, and ask students to tell the missing words.Listen twice the material,but separately(107.9FM 970AM 97.9FM)and finish the blanks (附录)First part-about 107.9FM play the tape, and ask students to tell the missing words. Step 5Post-listening Ask ss to retell the clothes stores and their features according to what showed in the PPT(stores and the superlative degree). Ask students which one they would like to go if they are going to buy clothes And why Which one they don’t like to go And why.Ask ss to retell the radio station and features according to what showed in the PPT( radio stations and the superlative degree)Ask students which one they would like to listen to and why. Give own ideas according to the content of listening material. To provide Ss a relatively authentic environment, and practice their speaking skills.
