2 nothing的用法
nothing意为“没有东西；没有什么”，是不定代词。have nothing to do意为“无事可做”。不定式to do作定语，修饰不定代词nothing。不定代词后接不定式，表示“可（做）的……（事）”。类似的表达还有：have something to do有事可做；have something to eat有可吃的东西；have nothing to drink没有可喝的东西。
【拓展】 have something / nothing to do with … 意为“与……有关 / 无关”。如：

4 hear 的用法

5 while的用法
while用作连词时，有以下几种含义：
（1）意为“当……的时候；和……同时”，引导时间状语从句，其谓语动词是延续性动词。如：
While I was watching TV，the bell rang.我看电视时，铃响了。
Tom watched TV while he ate his supper.汤姆边吃晚饭边看电视。
While we were talking，the teacher came in.我们正在谈话时，老师进来了。
（2）while引导的状语从句还可以表示某个动作正在进行的同时，另一个动作也在进行之中。如：
While the teacher was speaking，the students were listening. 老师讲课时，学生们在听。
While he was writing，I was reading. 他写字时，我在看书。
【辨析】when 意为“当……的时候”。在when引导的时间状语从句中，其谓语动词可以是延续性的，也可以是非延续性的，可与主句中的谓语动词同时发生，也可在其后发生。如：
I was just reading a book when she came into my room. 她走进我房间时，我正在看书。
Were you writing a letter when the teacher came in 老师进来的时候，你在写信吗？
【拓展】 when和while的区别还在于：while引导的时间状语从句多用进行时态；而when引导的时间状语从句多用一般时态，主句常用进行时。
