Unit 1 It’s the band which gets everyone dancing.
■ Warm up by talking about band.
Hello, class. Look at the photo. What is in the photo Yes, it is band. But what is a band In music, a band is a group of people (usually musicians) that gets together to sing songs, or perform music. Do you know about any bands in China What is your favourite band Tell us something about it
■Listen and read.
On page 64 in the box is a conversation among Tony, Lingling, Betty and Daming. They are talking about bands.
Before we listen to it, let’s go on to read it first. While reading, try to: cut/ the sentence into thought groups, study the predicative, darken the connectives and underline all the useful expressions. (阅读过程中,断开/意群,观察谓语构成,圈出连词,摘录短语搭配。)
