内容分析:本节课为本单元第五课时,内容为阅读教学部分,介绍了一个偏远地区孩子上学的艰苦,目的是为了让同学们珍惜自己的生活和学习条件。2a旨在培养学生的预测能力,2b侧重培养学生的阅读综合理解,2c活动已在用对话填空的方式来强化对阅读内容的理解和输出。
学情分析:在前面四节课的学习中,学生们已经学过交通方式的表达及一般现在时态,对于大多数语句他们是完全能够理解的,但是由于学生的基础较差且参差不齐,许引导学生们课前复习交通方式的表达、预习生词,为本节课的有效教学做好准备。
教学目标: 知识目标: ①学习新词cross, river, many, village, villager, between...and..., bridge, boat, ropeway, year, afraid, like, leave, dream, come true ②掌握句型It is easy for sb. to do sth. There is... But he is not afraid. Can their dream come true 过程与方法: ①通过情景创设,自主学习、结对练习等方式让学生在自然的环境中学会运用重点句型谈论交通方式。 ②通过预测、略读、寻读、细读等多种阅读技巧引导学生充分理解文章,提升他们的阅读综合技能。 情感目标: ①通过学习与对比,培养学生的共情意识,能够对艰苦边远地区的人们的交通方式有更多的认识,并提供力所能及的帮助。 ②阅读开阔人的思维,通过本节课学习,学生们将有能力表达更多的出行方式,并思考人在恶劣自然条件下的生存。
教学重点: Be able to master the key words and sentences. Be able to express how to get to somewhere.
教学难点: Try to get information from the passage by prediction/skimming/scanning. Try to think about more possible ways to help the villagers.
教学手段:Situational Teaching Method, Pair work and Individual thinking.
教学准备: PPT , video, listening tools
教学过程: Step 1 Pre-reading Free talk: How do you usually get to school Do you like going to school by... Teacher concludes: so it is easy and interesting for you to go to school every day, right Now look at a picture, tell me what they are doing. Prediction: What are they doing Are they playing games (No, because they are carrying schoolbags.) Why do they go to school like this (There is a big river/no bridge/...) Step 2 While reading Task 1: What is the best title for this passage (Skimming) Task 2: Answer the questions.(Scanning) How do the students in the village go to school Why do they go to school like this What does the boy think of his school What is the villagers’ dream Step 3 Post reading Pair work: make an interview.(2c) First fill in the blanks, then role play the conversation. Constructive thinking: Can their dreams come true Why Step 4 Summary Words and expressions. The key information of the passage. Life is beautiful, so we should cherish the good life we have now. And don’t forget to help others when we are happy.
