教学过程：
Leading-in
Play an English song 《Old Macdonald had a farm 》.Then ask some questions：How many kinds of animals are there on Old Macdald’ s farm? Where can we see more animals ? 由学生回答动物园，导入新课。
New words
出示动物的图片，教学新单词：tiger, elephant, koala, panda, lion, giraffa, 教学新单词的同时，对动物进行简单描述，学习描述的形容词：cute, smart, lazy, beautiful 等。词不离句，使学生在用中学，学中用。
Play a game
呈现动物的半身照片，同时播放tiger,elephant lion 等的叫声，让学生猜出动物的名称。声音和图片能刺激学生的感官，让他们在游戏中快乐地学习和巩固新单词。

Practice the conversation in pairs.

Match the words with the animals in the pictures. First ask the students finish 1a,and then check the answers.
