后跟-ing 的动词的顺口溜:
避免,错过,(少)延期 avoid, miss, postpone, put off
建议,完成,(多)练习 suggest, finish, practice
喜欢,想象,禁不住 enjoy, imagine, can’t help
承认,否定,(又)嫉妒 admit, deny, envy
逃避,冒险,(莫)原谅 escape, risk, excuse

注:括号内的字是为了顺口而添加,无实际意义。
2、有些动词短语跟动词-ing形式,但不跟不定式作宾语。
insist on, object to, be good at, lead to, put off, give up, look forward to, feel like, devote…to, get used to, pay attention to, get down to, etc.

阅读理解
What would you do if you find out your best friend cheated in a maths exam? Here are a few choices:
* Tell him you know and will keep it a secret.
* Tell him it’s not right and ask him not to do it again.
* Learn from him.
What you do matters. It says something about your character. Character is the way you see things and how you deal with them. Every choice you make helps show the kind of person you are choosing to be. Having good character means you do the RIGHT thing.
