on vacation意为“度假；休假”。on vacation表示一种状态，其中vacation意为“假期”，与 holiday 同义。“on+某些名词” 表示“在某种状态中”，如：on duty __________，on fire__________。on sale __________。

1) 含-body和-one的复合不定代词只用来代替人，在功能和意义上完全相同，可以互换。含-thing的复合不定代词只用来指代事物。

2) 复合不定代词都作单数看待，如果充当主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。
