I学情分析:七年级起着基础性的作用，直接影响着学生在整个中学阶段的英语成绩，以及初中英语教学质量的提高。由于学生的素质不可能一致，有的接受能力强，思维敏捷，动作迅速，有的相反。接受能力好的同学，对他们来说，一再重复知识，是对时间的浪费，是课堂无效的表现。而接受能力稍差的同学，需要教师重复几次，才能听懂。所以，根据不同发展水平的学生，要设计不同的方案。树立学生主体意识，使不同层次的学生都动起来。在课堂中穿插一些游艺，不断变换着花样进行语言项目的操练，利用学生英语基础上的差距让学生互助，不仅可以给后进学生信心，也能使基础好同学产生优越感。

能够听懂、正确朗读并应用新学习的单词: excuse, me, name, America, Japan,Canada, England等；
能够用英语熟练表达询问姓名，国籍的方式What’s your name Where are you from
能够正确运用特殊疑问词what, where,引导的特殊疑问句。
⒉ Skill aims
能听懂有关询问姓名、国籍等基本情况的简单对话或叙述；
能运用图文就表示询问姓名、国籍等的基本情况的话题进行简单的交流；
能正确地朗读对话，并能注意语音语调； 能写出询问对方基本情况的简单句。
⒊ Emotional aims
能够与同学积极合作，参与课堂活动，大胆实践，培养友好互助的精神； 能有兴趣用所学的功能句进行口头对话；
使学生乐于接触并了解异国文化。

Step1 Revision
Review some important sentences in Topic 1.
Step 2 Lead-in
The teacher asks students. “Excuse me, are you ...... ” “My name is...... What’s your name ” “I am from Huilong. Where are you from ”. Let students answer.
Let students make up dialog. ------What’s your name ------My name is......
Step 3 Listening
Let students look at some pictures and learn new words: America, Japan,Canada, England.
Listen to 1b. Listen and number the pictures and match the names with the countries. Then check the answers.

Let students listen to 1a twice and answer the question.
Let students listen to the tape and read sentence by sentence.
