2 Teaching Plan
1) Analysis of students
The students to be taking this lesson are 9th Graders or teenagers. Psychologically, it is typical of teenagers to be eager to know more and to form their own opinions about things instead of being given or taught; Besides, most of the teenagers are interested in students of the same age. From the perspective of language ability, most students have been able to follow an all-English online class.
2) Analysis of the teaching content
The teaching content is a lecture about the life of O. Henry and some beginning statements to disagree with people in a polite way.
Besides, the listening material is an addition to the reading part which can satisfy teenagers eagerness for more knowledge; What’s more, the speaking part is suitable for teenagers in that they are in a stage where disagreeing happens a lot, which makes it important for them to know how to show disagreement in a polite way and show their own opinions. Last but not least, some additional material downloaded from the Internet for recorded by my students are included to make the class close to life and rich in content.
3) Teaching aims
