1) learn about the basic elements of a story.
2) find out the basic elements in the passage.

Lesson Activities:

Warm-up (pre-reading) Say hello to the students and introduce the lesson objectives. Ask students to look at flash pictures and shout out the words that have leant in the reading part. Show a video to students about a famous English play, Robin Hood, in order to elicit the topic today. After watching the video, teacher ask a question about the video. (Q: What are the two main characters in the video ) Introduce the basic information about Robin Hood to students. While-reading Ask the students to listen to the recording of the play script and read aloud. Learning new vocabulary and words: ask the students to read the sentences with words in red and match its meaning. Vocabulary exercise: students are required to look at the pictures and shout out the words. Ask the students to read the passage again and answer the questions. Introduce the basic elements of a story to the students and ask the students to fill in the blanks in the table. After-reading Students are asked to think about a question about the passage: What do you think of Robin Hood Recap Concept-checking question: What are the 5 elements in a story Warm-up (pre-reading) Listen to the teacher carefully and say hello to the teacher. Shout out the words according to the pictures. Enjoy the video and answer the question. (A: Robin Hood and Little John) Listen and answer the question. While-reading Listen to the play script and read aloud. Read the sentences and match. Look at the pictures and shout out the words. Read the passage again and answer the questions. Listen and fill in the blanks in the table. After-reading Answer the question based on the sentence pattern.
