Instructional Objectives:
1) learn about the basic elements of a story.
2) find out the basic elements in the passage.
Materials and Resources:

ppt of the Lesson textbook textbook notebook pens and exercise book
Lesson Activities:
Teacher Activities Student Activities Time
Warm-up (pre-reading) Say hello to the students and introduce the lesson objectives. Ask students to look at flash pictures and shout out the words that have leant in the reading part. Show a video to students about a famous English play, Robin Hood, in order to elicit the topic today. After watching the video, teacher ask a question about the video. (Q: What are the two main characters in the video ) Introduce the basic information about Robin Hood to students. While-reading Ask the students to listen to the recording of the play script and read aloud. Learning new vocabulary and words: ask the students to read the sentences with words in red and match its meaning. Vocabulary exercise: students are required to look at the pictures and shout out the words. Ask the students to read the passage again and answer the questions. Introduce the basic elements of a story to the students and ask the students to fill in the blanks in the table. After-reading Students are asked to think about a question about the passage: What do you think of Robin Hood Recap Concept-checking question: What are the 5 elements in a story Warm-up (pre-reading) Listen to the teacher carefully and say hello to the teacher. Shout out the words according to the pictures. Enjoy the video and answer the question. (A: Robin Hood and Little John) Listen and answer the question.
