ⅠWarming-up 1. Play the song “earth song”. 2. Ask after listening:How did the singer feel in this song Why What did the singer want us to do (sad, worried/ because our earth is polluted/ to save the earth) 3. Show some pictures for students and ask them “What can you see in three pictures ” Let students say several kinds of pollution ( white/ air/ water/plastic / noise…) and teach some new words and expressions. 4. Have Ss work in pairs to talk about the pictures (activity 1).:What can you see in the two pictures What kinds of population in Picture1 What’s the place in Picture 2 Why 帮助学生了解现在的环境污染问题,描述图片,让学生尽快熟悉话题,拓展学生的思路,为后面的学习作铺垫。
ⅡPre-listening 1. Have Ss listen to the dialogue in activity 2 and complete the sentences. 2. Check answers in class. 通过听的环节培养学生听并获取细节信息的能力。
ⅢListening 1. Listen to the dialogue in Activity 3 for the main idea and ask :What is the dialogue talking about 2. Listen again and ask :How is Lingling’s feeling Why is Lingling worried about the future Who thinks the idea of making a green school What are the three problems mentioned 3. Open books and complete the blanks in activity 3. 4. Have students listen and repeat the dialogue. 本活动训练学生听懂主旨大意和获取细节信息的能力,并且在听的过程中输入正确的语音语调。
ⅣListening and reading 1. Complete the passage with the correct form of words in the box. Act4 2.Explain some important phrases and sentences. 3. Consolidate the usage of as well, think of, be worried about, It’s no use… 4. Ask Ss read the conversation after the tape. 5. Ask Ss read the conversation again and pay attention to the words which the speaker links. Act4让学生练习运用对话中学到的核心词汇。 听读课文要求学生模仿跟读,注重语音语调。
Ⅴ Pronunciation and speaking 1. Play the recording for the students to listen to and mark the words which the speaker links. 2. Play the recording again for students to listen and repeat. 3. Let a few students to say the sentences for the class. 本活动要求学生练习连读。
ⅥGroup work List the pollution problems in your place. Choose one problem and say what should be done about it. —The air pollution in our city is getting worse. What can we do to stop it —I think we can ride our bicycles to school more. 本活动训练学生说的能力以及分析和解决问题的能力。
Homework 1. Remember all the new words and expressions. 2. Read the dialogue fluently. 3. Finish Jiaoyuxue& Keshitexun. 巩固所学的新的单词、词组,并在具体的练习中加以运用。
